Suggest a link

On this website we include links to organisations that users may find helpful, across a range of subject areas.

Please contact if you have a suggested link we could add to our website.

Each site will be looked at in the context of the other information we provide and will only be added if it is considered to be of sufficient quality and relevance. We do not accept link requests for marketing purposes, or about events where the county council is not directly involved. We also do not accept link requests for commercial or political organisations.

Link suggestions should also meet the standards laid out in the Code of Recommended Practice on Local Authority Publicity, and not conflict with the Constitution of Suffolk County Council.

Please do not contact us again if your link does not appear on our site.

Terrorism Act 2006: notice-and-take-down requirement

Organisations that provide websites must be aware of a notice-and-take-down requirement contained within the Terrorism Act 2006, which came into force on 13 April 2006, and ensure that they have procedures to handle any notices served on them under the Act.

Sections 3 and 4 of the Act enable a police constable to give written notice to an organisation that a particular statement they publish electronically is unlawful, because it relates to terrorism.

If the organisation does not remove or amend the statement within two working days (only Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays, Christmas Day and Good Friday are excluded), then it will be considered to have endorsed the statement and will thereafter be liable to prosecution for encouraging terrorism or disseminating terrorist publications.

An organisation served with a notice is also required to take all reasonable steps to prevent future re-publication of the same or similar statements, including an investigation into who published the statement and removing that person's ability to publish in future.

Suffolk Local Offer will comply promptly with any such requests.
