We were notified today that Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission will today start an inspection of special education needs and disabilities (SEND) services in Suffolk. The inspection, which looks at how Suffolk County Council and NHS health partners support young people with SEND, and their families, will last for three weeks.
As part of this inspection, young people, parents and carers who use SEND services and practitioners involved in delivering education, health, social care and other SEND services are being encouraged to give feedback as part of an online Ofsted survey.
The Inspectors write:
"Dear children and young people, parent carers and practitioners,
Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) are visiting your area as part of an inspection. We will be looking at arrangements for children and young people with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).
We would like to hear your views about the support that you get and how it is helping you. You can do this by completing an online survey at the link below:

The Local Area SEND Ofsted and CQC Inspection commenced on Monday 30 October 2023 and concluded on Friday 17 November 2023. The final Inspection report is normally published around 6 weeks after the end of the Inspection, after going through Quality Assurance processes and comments from the Local Authority and the Integrated Care Boards.
